I have spent 14 years as a dialysis technician. Fourteen years of early mornings, late shifts, and everything in between. Fourteen years of watching patients with families, dreams, and full lives sit in that chair three times a week and fight to keep living.

I have seen what dialysis really looks like. The fistulas and fluid limits. The exhaustion that never fully goes away. The patients who crack jokes to lift the staff even when they are the ones who are tired. The caregivers who rearranged their entire lives without anyone ever stopping to ask how they were doing.

And I have felt the weight of being on staff. The responsibility. The long days. The deep satisfaction when a patient looks at you and says I could not do this without you.

I started Kidney Threadz because I wanted to honor all of it. The patients who show up when they are exhausted. The caregivers who give everything. The techs and nurses who pour their hearts into this work every single day. I wanted to create something that said: We see you. You matter. You are not alone.
